GRANDMA'S GARDEN

At all times we are to have faith that God is in control of our lives and He will make all things work together for our good. Just as the Lord feeds every living creature upon the Earth and sustains the world to work in perfect order, so will He direct our life's path to reach victory and attain every good and perfect gift that He has for us. We need only to trust God and believe that He will do what He has promised in His Word.

The Bible declares in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” No limits can be placed on what God is able to do and as His children we are to have expectant faith that our Heavenly Father has good things prepared for us who Love Him. (Romans 8:28) (Psalm 145:14-18)

Have faith in God's wisdom that He is in control of all things and will be with you and bring you forth victorious.

Some of my favorite summer childhood days had been spent in Grandma’s garden helping her pull up plants she identified as weeds, or planting vegetables and flowers. She had taught me that gardening wasn't only about cultivating plants, it was about cultivating faith. Each seed planted was proof of that. When I asked, “Grandma, how do the seeds know to grow the roots down and the green part up?”

“Faith,” was her answer.

Grandma is tending God's garden now but still influences me daily. Whenever I tuck a seedling into the earth, I trace a small cross above it in the air and say, “God bless you, grow.” And in quiet times, I can still hear her blessing, nurturing my faith. “God bless you, grow.”

Psalm 103:1-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Psalm 145:14-18 “The LORD upholdeth all that fall, and raiseth up all those that be bowed down. The eyes of all wait upon Thee; and Thou givest them their meat in due season. Thou openest Thine hand, and satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The LORD is righteous in all His ways, and Holy in all His works. The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, to all that call upon Him in truth.”

Philippians 4:4-7 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Every moment, Every situation, Every issue, and Every concern has a positive side. Find it and bring it to life.
