Being Thankful In All Things

Be thankful unto Him and bless His Name!
(Psalm 100:4)

November is tricky. There are sparkling days and there are gray days when we find ourselves discouraged. Everywhere you look people are busy getting ready for winter.

It is also a month to be thankful for what we have, for the blessings God has bestowed upon us and our loved ones.

Thanksgiving is a wonderful season. Houses full of people taking time to say thanks to God…Appreciating every step we have taken this year…Gratitude we give as we gather together…Never forgetting that God is always near.
Being grateful for the good things that happen, and pray for God’s help when trouble strikes.

We have all had our share of troubles, but must remain cheerful. You may ask, “How do we deal with discouragement?”

Fend them off with three P’s. The first P is for Prayer. If you pray about anything, strength comes.
The second P is for Patience. Some troubles never go away. You have to bear them.
The third P is for Persistence. No matter how discouraged, you have to keep trying to improve the situation.
I’ll remember the three P’s and add Practice to them.

Resolve to keep dark moods from your door. Above all, stay hopeful and keep cheerful. Wear a smile and don’t be gloomy.
This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it. (Psalm 118:24)

Evenings are longer now, with plenty of time inside for us to think about our Lord’s kindness. Meditate on His many blessings, remember all He does to make you glad. Then tell Him about it. Let Him know you love Him and that you are happy in His keeping.

Father God, thank You for keeping us, our family and friends. Sharpen our remembrance as we give thanks to You. Impart Your wisdom as we pray. Veil us with Your light that shines bright. Introduce our thoughts to higher heights. Never let us wander form You and give us lives filled with triumph and victory! Thank You, Thank You!

HAVE A HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Excellent post. We need more talk, writing, posting, sharing, communicating the true meaning of holidays that are SUPPOSED to be spiritual occasions, like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Appreciated this.

Thank you so much for your inspiration. You'll probably never know how or when you touch someone, but the message does come through; and for many, it will be just what we need to hear!

Thanks for the love and friendship. :)
